Dark eyes laden with tears
Whispering heart felt fears
Let go that mournful moan
Silence, you are alone
Where once there was joy
Hatred comes to destroy
All we once held with hope
Now drifts away in smoke
Pain left in our eyes
Was of our own guise
What was once called love
Shatters, when push comes to shove
Dark eyes, sorrowing
Are filled with longing
For a moments respite
She’d tear her soul from light
If I could have you near
I’d have no need for tears
For you distil my fears
You whom my heart holds dear
